About Vaginal Discharge

When the uterus, cervix, or vagina produces fluid that comes out of your vagina, you are experiencing Vaginal Discharge. The vagina removes the old cells every day keeping itself clean and healthy./p>

While vaginal discharge is normal, not all discharge is normal. The color, amount, and consistency of your discharge can vary each day, depending on where you are in your menstrual cycle.

You should consult your gynaecologist when

  • Your discharge has an unusual odor or appearance
  • You experience itching, burning, or swelling in the genital area
  • You develop pelvic pain
