HETQ is used to prevent and treat acute attacks of malaria. HETQ is a class of drugs called antimalarials. It works by killing the organisms that cause malaria. HETQ may work to treat rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus by decreasing the activity of the immune system.
HETQ is indicated for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria due to P. falciparum, P. malariae, P. ovale, and P. vivax. HETQ is indicated for the treatment of chronic discoid lupus erythematosus and systemic lupus erythematosus in adults. HETQ is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic rheumatoid arthritis in adults.
