Each 25ml contains: Polyethylene Glycol 3350 = 13.125g, Sodium Chloride 0.3507 g, Sodium Bicarbonate 0.1785 g & Potassium Chloride 0.0466 g

About Polytero Oral Solution

• POLYTERO (Polyethylene Glycol 3350) is a nontoxic water-soluble polymer
• Polyethylene Glycol is a biologically inert substance and is not metabolized by the colonic bacteria
• POLYTERO increases the stool volume which triggers colon motility
• An improved propulsive colonic transportation of the softened stools and a facilitation of the defecation
• The laxative effect of POLYTERO is achieved not only by the osmotic effect but also because of Polyethylene Glycol's ability to form a unique interaction with the water molecules. This interaction alters the physical chemistry of the solution, which leads to a sequestration of more water
• When administered by mouth, POLYTERO increases the water content of the stools
• The effect of POLYTERO is dose dependent, and a higher dose of leads to watery stools
