Oral treatment for skin Tinea and candida infections.
Itraconazole also acts by interfering with the formation of fungal cell membrane during the step of ergosterol biosynthesis.
Itraconazole inhibits cytochrome P-450-dependent 14α-sterol demethylase.
This causes inhibition of fungal growth.
