Rifaximin 400 mg
Rifaximin binds to the ß -subunit of the bacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, thereby inhibiting transcription and RNA synthesis. This results in inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis and consequently inhibits the growth of bacteria.
RIFGUARD Tab is used in the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea (IBS-D), reduction in risk of recurrent overt Hepatic Encephalopathy & Travelers' diarrhea (TD) caused by noninvasive strains of Escherichia coli (E. coli).
