Bictegravir 50 mg, Emtricitabine 200 mg, Tenofovir Alafenamide 25 mg
Taftrio is indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infection as a complete regimen. Bictegravir is an integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI) that inhibits viral DNA integration into the host genome, while Emtricitabine and Tenofovir alafenamide are NRTIs that inhibit reverse transcriptase, leading to termination of viral DNA synthesis and inhibition of viral replication, thereby reducing viral load.
