Tofacitinib 11 mg Tablets
UCJAK (Tofacitinib) is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis (UC), who have an inadequate response or intolerance to one or more TNF blockers.
Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory condition of the colon characterized by symptoms such as persistent diarrhoea, rectal bleeding, abdominal pain, urgency to pass stool, and fatigue. The disease significantly impacts quality of life and requires long-term management to control inflammation and maintain remission.
UCJAK contains Tofacitinib, an oral Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor that works by modulating the immune response. It inhibits the JAK - STAT pathways involved in inflammation, thereby reducing cytokine signaling and helping to control intestinal inflammation.
