Composition:
Posaconazole Gastro Resistant Tablets
Posoxil GR 300mg tablets is used for prevention of fungal infections in adults and children 2 years of age and older who weigh greater than 88 lbs (40 kg) and for treatment of fungal infections in adults and children 13 years of age and older.
Posaconazole is an azole antifungal agent.
Take it in the exact dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Take the tablets with or without food. Take the tablets as a whole; don’t break, crush, or chew Posoxil GR 300 mg tablets. If you cannot swallow the tablet, inform your doctors, he/she will give you a different medication.
The most common side effects include: diarrhoea, nausea, fever, vomiting, headache and coughing.
Before you take this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any preexisting medical conditions. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking. Dose adjustments may be required in patients with liver diseases, inform your doctor.
